The Professional Open

The Professional Open is the ultimate NFL players' golf challenge where the best-of-the-best from each NFL team compete in a tournament-style golf event that crowns the NFL Individual Golf Champion and NFL Team Golf Champion. Trent Dilfer and the San Francisco 49er's will be looking to defend their title as 2007 Professional Open Champions.
This new concept in championship golf has evolved from the "Brees on the Tees" Charity Golf Tournament, hosted by Drew & Brittany Brees and The Brees Dream Foundation.
The 4-day event includes:
- Kick-off party and charity auction at the Hilton Torrey Pines
- Three fun filled days of golf at two of San Diego's finest golf courses, Fairbanks Ranch Country Club and Torrey Pines Golf Course
Monday, March 31st, sponsors and athletes golf together in a small fivesome with two athletes per team at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club. A sponsor dinner will follow in the clubhouse with many prizes and awards being announced.
On Tuesday, April 1st and Wednesday, April 2nd, the NFL Players will compete in a 2 day tournament at Torrey Pines Golf Course. Scores will count from both days at Torrey Pines and awards will be given out Wednesday after the final round.
