George Washington Carver High School

The Brees Dream Foundation has contributed the final $100,000 to complete the G.W. Carver Field of Dreams. An official press release will be distributed in the near future.

This is not our first experience with these great kids and their motivated faculty. In 2009, the Brees Dream Foundation and Payton’s Play It Forward Foundation agreed to jointly contribute a total of $40,000 to G.W. Carver High School in the Upper 9th Ward. This contribution is being used to cover G.W. Carver High School’s sports operating budget for the next two years.

Also in 2009, the Brees Dream Foundation contributed over $70,000 of Nike uniforms to outfit all G.W. Carver High School athletic teams. G.W. Carver High School currently competes in football, volleyball, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball, softball and track.
